This week’s blog post takes us to the shorelines of Curium beach in Limassol, where our family in question – Veronica, Tinu, Victor and Miruna, spent the afternoon enjoying the delights of an isolated beach. This fun family photo shoot in Cyprus was spontaneous and carefree, as our family laughed and played together for the duration of the shoot.
The idea of a family photo shoot in Cyprus came about after Veronika, the mother of the family, approached me requesting a family photo session along one of Cyprus’ many beautiful beaches. She initially chose Governor’s Beach but later decided on Curium – and what an excellent choice she made.
Curium beach is the focus of many of my previous photo shoots including Iulian, Adriana, Justin and Alex, which was our first photo shoot of 2013, as well as Laurent, Marina and Anna back in May 2013. We also shot Andi and Emma’s beautiful family last summer and last but not least, our ‘Moods’ shoot with Maria from July 2013.
It’s no surprise that Curium beach is a popular location for many of my shoots. Together with the breathtaking blue waters of the beach as a backdrop combined with the flat, sandy landscape, we were able to take some fabulous shots that the family can treasure for years to come.
This loving family looked fantastic as they strolled along the beach, wonderfully coordinated in their outfits that were specially picked out by Veronika to blend perfectly with the beach and its colours. It was a great experience taking pictures for this family photo shoot in Cyprus and the love, happiness and joy they all radiated really shines through in the pictures.
Cyprus is a wonderful place at any time of year but the beaches are particularly special during the winter months as they are so desolate of people – since the weather is not so good for swimming or sunbathing.
But that’s what made this shoot so special. The family were able to bask in the freedom of an empty shoreline as they spent time relaxing, smiling, laughing and playing along the coast as I took their pictures.
